Cow Hollow was once inhabited by farmers and fisherman, when the waterline was further inland than is it today. During the gold rush, this area, with its grasslands and large freshwater pond became its own cattle-raising gold mine. First there were dairy farms, which eventually made way for slaughterhouses as food demands increased. Today, Cow Hollow is a bustling, affluent neighborhood full of boutiques and cupcakeries, but its name keeps its history alive.

Custom trimmed 13x16 print. Actual print is 11x14 with a 1" border, and printed locally on partially recycled paper. It can be framed using a standard 16x20 mat with an 11x14 opening.
