The details

Locals and tourists flock to Golden Gate Park for many reasons, one of the most popular being to visit the bison. Exiting the concrete sprawl and finding yourself in the middle of a beautiful park is surreal, and it's even more bizarre to come face to face with a bison. The herd in San Francisco formed when several bison (bisoni?) were brought in from the Great Plains in the late 1800's — around this same time bison were facing extinction due to poaching. But thanks to captive breeding with herds like the one in Golden Gate Park, bison numbers now surpass 200,000 in North America.

Custom trimmed 13x16 print. Actual print is 11x14 with a 1" border, and printed locally on partially recycled paper. It can be framed using a standard 16x20 mat with an 11x14 opening.
