Located in Artemisia’s former nursery on SE 28th Street, the adorably vintage cart sits away from the hustle and bustle of Restaurant Row in a lush, private garden setting, including a porch perfect for drinking spiked lemonade and soaking in vitamin D. It’s no wonder that Robin named it the Holiday Hair Studiothe little trailer is the ideal refuge for any beauty transformation. Plus, it’s pink. Who doesn’t love a pink trailer?
Sweet location and setting aside (even though with its pink-n-orange color scheme, a marquee-style dressing mirror and so-cute-you-want-to-put-it-in-your-pocket mini stove, we kinda want to move in), the real reason you want to visit Holiday Hair Studio is for a fresh cut by stylist-slash-makeup artist Robin Carlisle. In the business for 12 years, the Holiday Hair proprietress is known for creating great texture using a razor and a decidedly artistic eye. Got a head of outrageous curls? Visit Holiday—Robin’s specialty is turning wild, frizzy locks into long, mermaid like ringlets of fabulousness. Having had her training in California, Carlisle can bring the highlights like no one else. Plus, in addition to them mad scissor skills, Robin Carlisle is just plain fun to be around. You'll find yourself wanting to hang around well after you're finished. She's like your fairy-hair godmother. So what are you waiting for? Go become the fairest of them all, courtesy of Holiday Hair Studio.
