Our eyes were glued to the skies this weekend, and despite our slightly sore neck, we could go for one more week of Blue Angels screaming by. Although hearing the soundtrack to Top Gun one more time is definitely something we could do without. Luckily, we have an action-packed week ahead of us that involves one of our favorite past times, a musical break in the middle of the week and some red hot celebs cooling down for charity:
WE DON’T WANT TO MISS:

This will literally be your favorite literary festival ever. Litquake celebrates words and the people that know how to string them together, ready to fascinate you (pictured) at various venues around the city. If you can only make it out for one event, make sure it’s Litcrawl. It'll be something to write home about.

CELEBRITY POOL TOSS
Tuesday, October 11, 6 p.m. to 10 p.m.
Usually, the only time you’d push someone in a pool is if you were mad at them, but this Wednesday, we’ll be tossing our local celebs in to the pool at the Phoenix Hotel to raise money for Tenderloin Neighborhood Development. We didn’t recognize every name on the prepare-to-get-wet celeb list, but we can confirm Mr. Pants himself, MC Hammer will be um, MC’ing. Make sure you’re sitting when you see the ticket price, but remember it’s all for a good cause (and laugh).
