Maybe you don’t know Beth Spotswood by name (yet), but chances are you’ve read (or watched) something she’s written, laughed gleefully, and forwarded it to your friends. She writes full time for CBS San Francisco, writes and appears in the hilarious webshow Necessary Conversation, and writes two columns a week for SFGate.com’s Culture Blog, one of which we look forward to every week like the continuation of a cliffhanging episode of our favorite TV show: Tourist Trapped.

Obviously, here at Scoutmob, we’re all about the local. But through Beth’s guidance, she shows San Franciscans how to make the most of spots more well known for crawling with tourists. She’s searched out fashion tips at an after hours party at the Museum of the African Diaspora, enjoyed an “authentic” Italian feast at Buca di Beppo, taken in ”The View” at the Marriott Marquis and glided down the moving sidewalk at the Aquarium of the Bay.

If there’s anyone we know that knows about being cultured, it’s Beth. She visited the scene of a Picasso-napping, for Heaven’s sake.

Check out all her adventures and let us know where Beth should get trapped next. Hit us up on Twitter or Facebook.
