Nominate a Deal and Win a MAJOR (We're Talkin' Huge) Prize
Nybig_thumb2

Okay, Mobsters. We want to know your untapped, locals-friendly, under-appreciated city favorite. Boutiques, restaurants, bars, shops, back alleys and crack dens may apply. We'll see what we can do to make it happen and, for your trouble, we'll award one lucky soul the mother of all prizes: A free two-hour bowling party for up to eight people at Brooklyn Bowl during a concert of your choice! Well, pending availability, of course.

WHAT SAY YOU: WHAT LOCAL BUSINESS WOULD YOU LIKE TO SEE US DO A DEAL WITH?

We're all ears! Send your answers via email at manbehindthecurtain@scoutmob.com, on Twitter @scoutmobnyc or on Facebook. Enter multiple times to increase your chances of winning. Random.org will help us declare the winner, so keep it coming. And remember, there's a MAJOR PRIZE to be had, so don't hold back. Really, you're only hurting yourself (and your seven friends).

Now, on to last week's question:

WHAT'S YOUR FAVORITE NY COFFEE SHOP?

Our Scout says:

I like The Cupping Room Café in SoHo. Since the '70s, they've been roasting their own beans and serving as a much-loved local hang-out for neighborhood artists, which is why it's as much a gallery as it is a coffee shop. The regularly changing art on the walls is as good as their fresh-brewed coffee.

You says:

Mud Coffee on 2nd Ave. and 9th St.
- Alan Bernstein

I would add the following to your best NYC coffee list: Kaffe 1668, Café du Nord and Ninth Street Espresso.
- @MaxVishnev

Gorilla Coffee in Brooklyn. Communitea in Long Island City.
- Michele Trester

Call me a simpleton, but I always enjoy Irving Farm or [bites lip] Oren's Daily Roast.
- @snycphoto

Gregorys Coffee is good—great lattes.
- Willa Kramer

For purchasing coffee and tea to make: Porto Rico Importing Co. and McNulty's Tea & Coffee Co., Inc., both in the West Village. For drinking coffee, Think Coffee in Manhattan.
- Scott Johnson

The Bean in the East Village. Probably the best coffee I have ever had anywhere, with delicious baked goods and a cozy atmospherem, as well. M. Rohrs' comes in close second for good coffee.
- Katie Hale

Ground Support in SoHo. Lovely intelligentsia brew!
- @jackbnyc

Any of the The Grey Dog's Coffee locations, but especially the one on University Place.
