We still remember the first time we dined at Z-Burger in October 2008. It was a glorious day, possibly because there’s no better way to celebrate American cuisine than by biting into a succulent, juicy patty of meat (or meat-substitute) between two tasty buns. We were extra patriotic and threw some cheese and bacon on ours (as we continue to do today whenever we go back every other day...), but don't feel pressured. Whatever you choose, though, it's on us. That’s right, get to Z-Burger in Tenleytown to enjoy one free burger of your choice. Choose from beef, beef’n’cheese, beef’n’cheese’n’bacon, bacon’n’beef, veggie, turkey, or forego a patty altogether and just get a grilled cheese. The choice is yours and unlike some celebrity sartorial choices, at Z-Burger you can’t go wrong.

And while there’s no obligation to order any accoutrements to go alongside your burger, we dare you to resist a shake or malt. There are 75 to choose from! Our personal favorite is Chocolate Covered Banana, which was still hard to decide on since when we narrowed down the options that featured banana, we still had seven to choose from, ranting from Banana Oreo to Banana Split. And then, of course, there’s Z-Burger’s fresh-cut fries and onion rings, a.k.a. deep fried freedom in a bag. Always served hot and fresh, the serving sizes are like meals in and of themselves. In short, Z Burger rules.
