One need only reference the Noid to understand how ridiculous some strategies have been. The best one in our opinion is just to produce a pie that tastes good, which is why Pizza Boli's is pretty easy to write about. As mentioned in Scoutmob's notes about the Adams Morgan location, Boli's knows what's up when it comes to cheese-to-sauce-to-crust proportions. This ratio makes each bite as good as the first. Ooey, gooey and full of pizzeria flavor.
Of course, there's more to Boli's than just the pizza. Chicken wings, French fries, sandwiches and subs... Like it's sister establishment in Adams Morgan, this U Street location has all your quick-service, comfort-food cravings on lock. The French fries are hot and crispy, the wings are sufficiently spicy and the sandwiches might be more filling than a whole pizza. And again, what really stands out here are the chicken strips. Like the pizza, a successful chicken strip is also all about the proportions. Too much breading and it tastes like anything deep-fried. Too little, you don't get the crispiness you crave. Pizza Boli's has it just right.
