“There are weeks where we sell over 10,000 chicken wings,” said David, the owner.Veni, vidi, vici. I came, I saw, I ordered a Miller Lite. Seemed like the thing to do at Rhino Bar and Pumphouse, an all American saloon right on M Street. Boasting one of the oldest active liquor licenses in Georgetown, sports fans and college students (ahem, of age) alike have been coming here to get their drink on since 1953, when it was called the Shamrock. But it’s not like people come here for the history. They head to Rhino Bar to watch baseball, football and hockey on the three 110-inch big screens and 25 flat screens. Or for the yummy bar food, like chicken wings. A lot of chicken wings. “There are weeks where we sell over 10,000 chicken wings,” said David, the owner. But what really makes ‘em line up –- literally, there was a line out the door when I went -– would be DJ nights on Friday and Saturday. I think LMFAO said it best: “Partyrock is in the house tonight.”
