"If you like spice, you'll like Thai food. And if you really like spice, let the waitstaff know. We can make it as spicy as you want!"The only thing better than a white and sandy Thai beach is Thai food. And while you can't get the former without dropping thousands of dollars on a plane ticket, you can get the latter at Talay Thai right in the heart of Capitol Hill. "We do central Thai cuisine here," said Pat, the owner's son and chef, who was born in Thailand. "If you like spice, you'll like Thai food." And if you really like spice, let the waitstaff know. "We can make it as spicy as you want!" said Pat. Some dishes to try are the drunken noodle, papaya salad and any of the curries on the menu. Of course, if you're looking for dishes with a little less zing but still with all the taste, the pad thai is always recommended, especially alongside a Thai beer or cocktail. "The customers love it," said Pat. For dessert, I suggest a simple Thai iced tea. Sweet to the max, it's like a goodnight kiss from a perfect dinner.
