Life is good. Literally. The smoothies at Juice Joint get their flavor from nature—that's real fruit and juice. No added sugar, dairy or ice needed, just frozen whole fruit and juice.Who knew smoothie-making was a spectator sport? The Juice Joint's team of brothers Tom & Jim Holland and Adrien Marsoni did, which is why they closed their popular downtown shop for three months this winter to install a glass-windowed smoothie-makin' station. Now, standing in line hasn't been this fun since, well, ever. But good things come to those who wait, and luckily, it's not usually very long. Before I could count all the different kinds of fruit I was about to sip up, which either means I'm really bad at math or they're just super quick here, I was sitting at a table on the sidewalk café drinking up my daily dose of vitamins. Try one on us. Choose one out of nine flavors. I personally recommend the Mango Madness, featuring mango (duh), pineapple, banana and fresh OJ. And should you get hungry, not to worry: the menu is chock full of savory salads, sandwiches and wraps for your purchasing convenience.
