"Before I had the shop, people stopped me on the street to ask me about my jewelry," said Kyle. This resulted in admiring strangers making immediate trips to the ATM to purchase her designs right then and there. Things are easier now.

Until the other day, I'd never walked into a boutique and literally wanted one of everything. Seriously, there wasn't one "meh" item in the bunch at this shop; everything was wearable, fun and, much like the jewelry, hard to find anywhere else. In fact, you won't find the jewelry anywhere else because Kyle Barber, who owns the shop with her sister Elizabeth, designs and makes all these beautiful baubles herself. "Before I had the shop [it opened earlier this year], people used to stopped me on the street to ask me about my jewelry," said Kyle. This resulted in the most admiring strangers making trips to the ATM to purchase her designs right then and there. While her boutique cuts out that step in the process, her jewelry is still the kind of stuff people see and instantly need. "We have to restock about once a week so the shelves don't look empty." Basically, get here quick! (And get here often.)
