Scout Notes Susie Saadian loves shopping so much that she often buys things that don't fit her. Good thing she owns a clothing store. Even better, good thing it's right in Columbia Heights so people like you and I can stop by and take advantage of her eye for rad things. "That's it," she said when asked about her favorite part about owning a shop filled with unique, gently worn, contemporary clothes, "I love being able to match up cool items with cool people." Think of Susie as the Patti Stanger of shop owners, but, like, actually friendly and she'll never set you up with loser duds. Although the store is small, no space goes wasted. The racks are filled with hand-picked items, each inspected and chosen directly by Susie herself. I spied several summery skirts last week; some were suitable for work, but more were suitable for play. "I like to say my customer is the 'urban chickster'," said Susie, which, judging from her own vibe, means "totally awesome and fashion-forward." And men, don't sit around looking dull. Susie's got a few racks in her shop for you, too. Style doesn't discriminate. Plus, with new things coming in every day, there's always something to look forward to.
