The B Spot is unlike any framing shop I've been to before. That's because it's more than just a framing shop. It's also a tea parlor, a juice bar, an art gallery, a party space... Well, you get the idea. There's a lot going on here. More importantly, everything that's going on here is done well, and yes, that most definitely includes the framing. Evidence of their work, led by architect Barry Lester, is all over the walls, from the fresh art by local artists to the television on the far wall. It's all framed gloriously. And yes, I said television. They frame televisions! "We can frame anything, really," said Barry. Plus, they can do so in just about any style and color you like. Around the back of the juice bar counter, you can peep an array of different frame types, ranging from museum quality gilded gold varieties to a modernist series of brightly colored examples. You'll also get a choice of glass, matting and all the other framing bells and whistles. There's no excuse for a naked painting anymore. Or a naked television.
