J. Paul's Dining Saloon

50% off J. Paul's Dining Saloon
We already know the food is fantastic at J. Paul's (don't miss the near-zero-filler crabcakes), but it's the signature cocktails and craft brews that keep us there for hours.
J. Paul's isn't like other bars Georgetown. In fact, it's unlike any other bar in DC. Not only did Al Capone once sit at the bar counter, which was salvaged specially from a Chicago stockyard, but the food and drink at this high-ceilinged venue are also one-of-a-kind. We're pretty sure it's only here where we can indulge in the best of raw bar specialities, order a special-recipe Virginia grass fed beef burger and kick back with some of the most innovative handcrafted cocktails in the city, including the patented mojito, which is anything but regular. "It's made with Jim Bean Red Stag, basil, brown sugar, fresh lime, and soda," said general manager Kristen Counts. "It's the saloon take on the classic mojito," she said. Beer drinkers will be equally pleased with their choices, which are all exclusive American crafts. A good start is J. Paul's very own amber ale. Paired with an order of J. Paul's signature Mahi-Mahi tacos and the chef's near-zero-filler, all-meat crabcakes and we finally learned the meaning of the ol' saying—life is good.

And guess what? Life is good on the weekends, too, when J. Paul's serves up brunch on both Saturdays and Sundays. Don't worry about coming twice in a row. This is the kind of joint that not only likes regulars, but treats 'em like family.
