If you eat anything less than "too much" when it comes to barbecue, you're doing it wrong. In other words, make sure to come to Old Glory hungry.
If you eat anything less than "too much" when it comes to barbecue, you're doing it wrong. Which is why we love Old Glory. Literally, we've never been able to finish an entire entree at this Georgetown staple, and we're not just talking about the Whole "Lotta" Glory, a behemoth of a platter that's packed to its edges with what's basically the entire Old Glory menu. (Seriously, bring a friend or two to even make a dent in it.) But even if you order something a little "smaller," you'll still get something huge in terms of size and flavor.

"We do everything in house," says Old Glory's general manager. And while you can go hog-wild (pun intended) with classic dishes like pulled pork, ribs, brisket and more, don't miss the smoked turkey. "The longer you smoke it, the more it tastes like ham," they told us, and while our taste buds agreed, luckily our thighs still counted it as turkey. For more healthy touches, check out the salads, which use a vitamin-packed mesclun mix as a base. Pair it with a specialty cocktail, a beer (don't miss local brewery Flying Dog on tap), or one of almost 100 bourbons on offer (FOR REAL!) and ready your USA chant. No one knows BBQ like America.
