Ah Love Oil and Vinegar has opened our eyes to new worlds (ones that go well beyond our run-of-the-mill Extra-Virgin Olive Oils in the grocery aisle). How have we lived so long relying on mere butter to jazz up our breads? Ah Love Oil and Vinegar has opened our eyes to new worlds (ones that go well beyond our run-of-the-mill Extra-Virgin Olive Oils in the grocery aisle). Little did we know that olive oil came in such a wide span of flavors – variations from blood orange to citrus habañero to – yes, even butter flavored. The myriad of options available at the store are up for the samplin' (so we suggest arriving with a bit of an appetite and leaving with complete satisfaction).
Not to be outdone, the later item of Ah Love Oil & Vinegar's namesake also puts fancy grocery store sections to fame. The pinnacle of lavishness? An 18-year-old aged balsamic that is so grape-filled and delicious – we could almost do a shot of it (but it is vinegar, after all). Intimidated by such age-old wonders and merriment? No need. Village at Shirlinton shop's staff is friendly and well-versed, capable of answering any question you may have. For instance, "Can we put vinegar on ice-cream? Or in my cocktails?" (Yes and yes.) Indeed, they've made us bona-fide oil & vinegar believers.
