What to Do on the Weeknights, November 14-17
Dcbig_thumb1

Not only do packed weekends rule, but so do packed weeknights. That's because it means we'll be having all kinds of weekend-like fun Monday through Thursday. It also means when lazy Sunday comes around, our DVR will be packed. WoOT! And so without further ado, here's the busy week ahead.

WE DON’T WANT TO MISS:

8x8: 8 PERFORMERS, 8 MINUTES EACH
Monday, November 14, 8:30 p.m.
A lot of cool things go down at The Looking Glass Lounge, but one of the coolest will happen this Monday when Brandon Wetherbee, of You, Me, Them, Everybody, the awesomest live talk show around, brings eight performers in and gives them eight minutes each to wow us. No pressure. :) But seriously (i.e., emoticons aside), this is the kind of happening that makes living in this town so unique. Performers include: Jessica Brodkin, Sarah E. Donnelly, Sampson McCormick Erin Ryan, Adam Friedland, Peter Heyneman, Sandra Beasley, S.M. Shrake and Jonny Grave. See you there!

ALSO WORTH CHECKING OUT:

CRUSH IQ HAPPY HOUR
November 14, 6 p.m. to 8 p.m.
Get to The Liberty Tree where your lovely Scoutmob associates will be hosting a fantastically fun happy hour (or hours, rather, since it goes for two), where you'll be able to rub elbows with the social-media-loving individuals who spoke at and attended the Crush IQ conference. Networking is always better with beer.

COREHAUS DC PRESENTS THE ART OF NO KINGS COLLECTIVE
Thursday, November 18, 7 p.m. to 11 p.m.
We're already all sorts of all about No Kings Collective, so imagine our giddiness when we heard two of the brains behind it, Brandon Hill and Peter Chang, were presenting and selling a whole slew of new works, from skate decks to sculptures. And so, we'll be hightailing it to CoreHaus, a phenomenal contemporary design gallery, to check this art party out.
