Sitting outside and sweating watching movies has become more than a simple pastime in DC—it's a legitimate hobby. Although Screen on the Green is probably the most popular of the area's outdoor film fests, there are at least seven more that are either already underway or will be very soon. Of course, not all movies are created equal, so instead of listing them all here, we'll list our picks for top flick in each of the areas eight outdoor film programs, and then link to the rest of their respective schedules should your fancy be tickled enough. Here goes:

SCREEN ON THE GREEN
Our Top Pick: Psycho, Monday, August 6 at sunset

Even if you're not into Hitchcock thrillers, hearing the sounds of this movies iconic soundtrack reflect off the walls of the national monuments should be spectacular.

ROSSLYN OUTDOOR FILM FEST
Our Top Pick: All The President's Men, Friday, July 13, 8 p.m.

One of the finest political movies ever made, this is the true story of the two Washington Post reporters who uncovered the Watergate scandal. Also, Robert Redford looks super hot.

NOMA SUMMER SCREEN 2012
Our Top Pick: War Games, Wednesday, July 18, 7 p.m.

This '80s classic is the ultimate Cold War movie. Or at least the only one that starred Matthew Broderick, whose penchant for video games almost started World War III.

CAPITOL RIVERFRONT SUMMER OUTDOOR MOVIES 2012
Our Top Pick: The Goonies, Thursday, June 21, 8:45 p.m.

Heeeey, youuuuu guys! The Goonies should be watched outdoors at least once per summer, preferably with a tub of Rocky Road ice cream and a few Baby Ruths in tow.

MOVIES ON THE POTOMAC AT NATIONAL HARBOR
Our Top Pick: Spaceballs, Friday, September 7, 8:30 p.m.

Hands down, this is the best Star Wars spoof we've ever seen. Also the best Mel Brooks movie, in our humble opinions. Indeed, Spaceballs is amazeballs. May the schwartz be with you.

BETHESDA OUTDOOR MOVIES
Our Top Pick: Stand By Me, Tuesday, July 24, 9 p.m.

This Steven King classic features cast of everyone cool young man from the '80s—the Corey Feldman, young River Phoenix, Wil Wheaton, Kiefer Sutherland, Jerry O'Connell... It makes us want to come of age again. Additional details about the festival: Runs July 24-28 at Woodmont Triangle, near the corner of Norfolk and Auburn Avenues

COMCAST OUTDOOR FILM FESTIVAL IN ALEXANDRIA
Our Top Pick: Mission Impossible—Ghost Protocol, Friday, July 13, 8:30 p.m.

We had to include an action movie, so why not this one? Plus, Jeremy Renner is in it and he's awesome.

Our Top Pick: When Harry Met Sally, Monday, August 26, At sunset

One of the only romantic comedies that doesn't make you with you were both blind and deaf, When Harry Met Sally made Meg Ryan America's sweetheart. It's also genuinely funny.
