Mladinso Theatre: Nijinsky's Last Dance
Flashpoint, 916 G St., NW
If you’ve visited the National Gallery of Art’s Diaghilev and the Ballets Russes exhibit this summer, you know famed dancer Vaslav Nijinsky’s story. (PS: if you haven’t seen the exhibit, drop everything and go). We were so intrigued by Nijinsky’s meteoric rise in the world of dance and subsequent struggle with schizophrenia, that Norman Allen’s one-man play “Nijinsky’s Last Dance” at Flashpoint sounded fascinating. The show will run daily from Monday through Friday, but the $25 tickets are limited. And just FYI, the production will be in Slovenian with English subtitles, in case you don’t speak Slovenian.
Tuesday, August 27, 5:45 p.m.
